Chef Nick is in the process of starting the Wilson's Urban Organic Garden in the city of Detroit. He will be growing produce to help those in the community & help provide the Food Truck with sustainable produce. The soil is rich and full of nutrients! We will store rain water & have a compost for helping the soil stay healthy. Customers want to know where their products are coming from and what is being used to treat the food we eat!
We also would like more community involvement for the youth in the City of Detroit.
Chef Nick learned how to garden from his grandmothers and mother. Growing up each house always had a garden with plenty of fresh vegetables & fruits. As a child, Nick would pick collard greens from the garden every thanksgiving & help his family clean them as well.
