It all started in a Florida kitchen, cooking seafood and dreaming big. While sharing laughs and lobster with my nephew, Chef Nick, the idea sparked—what if we brought chef-crafted lobster to the streets? Nick joked, “Call me when you buy a truck, Aunt.” Two years later, I did just that.

The Lobster Food Truck was born in our hometown of Detroit—a 50/50 family-owned business built on passion, grit, and a love for fresh seafood with a twist. Our truck now rolls through Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties, with a take-out spot in Dearborn.

From being the first food truck inside Comerica Park to appearing on Hard Knocks during Detroit Lions training camp, we’ve come a long way. Voted #1 Food Truck by Hour Detroit for three years running, we live by one motto: work hard, laugh harder.

We serve everyone from foodie adventurers to sports fans and corporate crews—wherever there’s a craving for something bold and delicious. Even during the pandemic, we kept rolling with a drive-through window that kept the lobster love alive.
